Ah, the joys of driving...

Okay, so the first test was today. I didn't do horrible, but I also didn't do great. I won't bother to find out how I did until Monday but I'm not especially worried. I got a perfect on my vocab quiz (go me!) so I think I'm in good shape. All I need to do is make sure that I don't slack the rest of the term.

So this afternoon I left to go see Carrie perform with the SCT. If you don't know don't worry about it. But anyways, mapquest gave me the worst directions ever, literally ignoring highways. It told me to connect to highway 2 but highway 2 ends north of where I was. So I am down south trying to figure out what's going on. Eventually I made it but I probably wasted about a half hour with the crappy directions. And on top of that, as typical of middle sized towns in Illinois, Sterling (the town I was in) decides that it's necessary to have the highway I needed to get home switch back and forth a few times, without giving proper directions on how to get out in advance. You know, they're highways for a reason. They're supposed to be easy to follow, not make too many curve, not supposed to go south for a few blocks when you're on the northbound highway... Why is this such a difficult concept?

I move that we make highways stay on the same road instead of curving through different blocks.

Carrie, te amo.
